Medication & Services Questions
What is GLP-1?
GLP-1 activates GLP-1 receptors in the pancreas, enhancing insulin secretion and reducing the release of glucagon. This reaction leads to glucose homeostasis, which triggers your body to burn fat for energy.
How do I get my medication?
We work with a third-party compounding pharmacy to process your prescription (if approved). Your medication will be mailed directly from the pharmacy to your address on file.
Do I have to pay for my medication separately?
Program costs displayed on our website include the medication costs (if approved by your provider). For your convenience, you are only billed once per-month for the total cost of the program.
What can I expect during the virtual consultation?
Your bmiMD doctor will review your medical history and questionnaire to determine if you are a good fit for the program. During your virtual consultation, our providers will discuss the program’s benefits and answer any questions you may have.
What if I’m not approved for program?
After your order is submitted, your card will be authorized for the program total. You will then receive a HIPAA-compliant medical intake form via email. Our board-certified practitioner will assess your completed intake form. If you are deemed eligible, the authorized charge will be processed.
If you are not eligible for the program, the authorized hold will be released, and you will not be charged.
Similar to a traditional clinic, payment covers the provider’s services and time during your telehealth appointment. Payment does not guarantee a prescription.
What is the age range for treatment?
When will I receive my order?
Once your bmiMD medical provider reviews your intake form and confirms your eligibility, it will be sent to the pharmacy for processing. Typically, the process takes about 3-5* business days from start to finish for your medication to be delivered to your door.
Do I need a blood work before starting?
Our clinical team recommends blood work from within the past 6-12 months. As a courtesy, we provide a lab request order form if necessary.
